Privacy Policy
FontLark collects only the limited information needed to operate the website, protect font downloads, understand aggregate usage, and answer messages.
Effective date: September 5, 2026
Information used when you visit
Like most websites, the web server may record technical request information such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested page, date and time, referring page, and response status. These logs help keep FontLark reliable, diagnose errors, and investigate abuse or security problems. They are not used to build advertising profiles.
Font downloads and the necessary cookie
FontLark sets a necessary cookie named flc_visitor. It contains a random identifier, is not readable by site scripts, uses SameSite protection, and expires after approximately one month. It helps create a download token that expires after about 10 minutes and prevents a token from being reused by another visitor.
For download rate limiting, the identifier and network address are converted into a salted, rotating one-way value. The catalog does not store the raw IP address in its download database. Expired rate-limit records are periodically deleted. Download totals are stored by font and day as aggregate counts rather than individual download histories.
You can remove the cookie using your browser settings, but FontLark may need to set a new one before a protected download will work.
Messages you send
If you use the Contact page, FontLark receives the name, email address, inquiry type, message, and any optional page links or supporting details you provide. The submission is stored in the site’s form-entry system and a notification is sent to the site administrator so it can be answered and, where relevant, used to investigate licensing, copyright, or technical concerns. Correspondence and form entries may be kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, maintain necessary records, or protect legal rights.
Information in a rights or takedown request may be shared with the source or another affected party when that is reasonably necessary to investigate and respond. Please do not include sensitive information that is not needed for your request.
Analytics and advertising
FontLark does not currently use visitor analytics, personalized advertising, or advertising cookies. If advertising, analytics, or another non-essential service is introduced later, this policy will be updated and any required notice or consent controls will be added before that service is enabled.
When information may be shared
FontLark does not sell personal information. Limited information may be handled by infrastructure or email providers that help operate the site, or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid request, investigate abuse, protect the website or another person, or establish and defend legal rights.
Retention and security
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described above. Different records have different lifetimes: download tokens last minutes, the visitor cookie lasts about one month, aggregate download totals do not identify individual visitors, and security logs and correspondence may be kept longer when needed to resolve an issue.
FontLark uses practical technical safeguards including protected download storage, short-lived tokens, access controls, and one-way rate-limit identifiers. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You may browse without creating a public account. You can control cookies through your browser and choose what information to include in a message. To ask about personal information you previously submitted, or request a reasonable correction or deletion where applicable, use the Contact page. Some information may need to be retained for security, recordkeeping, or legal reasons.
Children
FontLark is a general font resource and is not directed to children. The site does not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit personal information.
Updates and contact
This policy may be updated when the website or its practices change. The effective date above will identify the current version. Questions about privacy can be sent through the Contact page.
