FontLark respects font creators and rights holders. If something in the catalog appears to have incorrect licensing, attribution, or permission, tell us and we will review it promptly.

Our approach

FontLark hosts fonts only when the available source and license records indicate that redistribution is allowed. We preserve the supplied license material and source information with each family. Even with careful checks, records can be incomplete or an upstream source can change, so we provide a straightforward correction and takedown process.

How to request a review or removal

Use the Contact page and choose a clear subject such as Copyright or takedown request. Please include:

  • your name and a reliable way for us to contact you;
  • a direct link to every FontLark font or page you want reviewed;
  • the name of the font or other material involved;
  • an explanation of your connection to the work or authority to represent its owner;
  • the correct license, authoritative source, ownership record, or other supporting evidence; and
  • the correction or removal you are requesting.

Exact links help us act quickly. A category, collection, search page, or general description may not identify the specific files involved. Please do not send identity documents, payment information, private keys, or unrelated confidential material.

What FontLark will do

We will assess clear, good-faith reports as quickly as reasonably possible. Depending on the issue, we may temporarily disable the download, check the original repository and license files, contact the source or another affected party, correct the catalog record, or remove the family.

If the evidence shows that FontLark should not distribute a file, we will stop distributing it. Removing a listing while it is reviewed does not decide who ultimately owns the material; it is a practical step to reduce harm while the facts are checked.

If a removal appears to be a mistake

A designer, foundry, source maintainer, or other affected party may use the same Contact page to explain why a removal was mistaken. Include the affected URL and reliable license or authorization evidence. We will compare the information from both sides before deciding whether the material can be restored.

Good-faith requests

Please send requests only when you honestly believe a right or license is affected. FontLark may ask for additional information when ownership or authority is unclear. We will not ignore a credible concern simply because the first message is incomplete, but sufficient evidence is needed before making a final decision.

Worldwide reports

This process is available to rights holders in any country. It may also be used for a formal DMCA notice where that law is relevant, but you do not need to be in the United States or use legal terminology to report a genuine concern. If you intend to send a formal legal notice, include all information required by the law you rely on.

Privacy

Information in a request may be shared with the source or another affected party when reasonably necessary to investigate and respond. We will otherwise handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
